Williams Wasp, Wednesday, February 8, 1905

Mrs. R.G. [Robert] Parker, who had made her home for the past year, with her grandson, F.R. Parker, passed away at his home last Sunday afternoon. She had been in failing health all winter; and though it was thought her days were nearing the end, yet as is always the case, it came very unexpectedly.

Lucinda Stewart was born in Pennsylvania in 1825, and with her husband, R.G. Parker, was among the early settlers about Stanhope, Iowa, where she lived until within the last year, her husband dying there nine years ago. The remains were taken to Stanhope Monday where the funeral services were held yesterday in the Christian church, and interment made in the Stanhope [Lawn Hill] cemetery. The funeral party from this place consisted of her two grandsons, F.R. and Ned Parker, with their families, joined at Webster City by their father. The friends of F.R. Parker and family sympathize with them in their loss.

[this obituary reads that she was born in 1825; cemetery records state 1826]
