Hamilton Freeman, Webster City, Iowa, Wednesday, February 25, 1880

Last Wednesday night a young man by the name of Jones, living in Clear Lake township met with an accident that probably resulted fatally. In going home from meeting on horse back, late in the evening, he was thrown off and so stunned that he remained for several hours on the prairie in an insensible condition. When found he was benumbed with cold, and so seriously hurt that he could scarcely breathe. The man who came for a doctor gave us these facts, and we have heard nothing from the case since.

[Edmund W. Jones buried Lawn Hill Cemetery, rural Stanhope, son of John & Melvina Horseman Jones]
