Funeral services for Wendell D. Teig, 58, Stanhope, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope, with Rev. Kent Larson officiating.

Burial was in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

Mr. Teig died Friday evening at the Stratford Care Center where he had been a resident for five weeks.

Wendell Dean Teig, son of Martin and Emma West Teig, was born April 24, 1927 at Stanhope and was educated in that community.

He resided on the family farm east of Stanhope.

He is survived by his parents; three brothers, Mervin Teig of Mason City, Everett Teig, Jewell and Tilford Teig of Stanhope.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
