Thomas Quick, 74, longtime resident of the Stanhope community, died Friday afternoon at the University hospital at Iowa City. He had been a patient there since Sept. 18.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Foster funeral home. The Rev. T.M. Walton of Goldfield will officiate, and burial will be in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

Thomas Quick was born April 28, 1883 in Logan county, Ill., where he was reared and educated. In 1914, he came to Iowa, locating at Stanhope where he engaged in farming and tile work.

He was united in marriage Sept. 15, 1916 to Anna May Keefer at Webster City. His wife preceded him in death July 22, 1938.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a half-sister and two half-brothers.

Mr. Quick had made his home for many years in Stanhope except for the past two years which he had spent at the Marslek nursing home in Webster City.
