Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Donald Peterson, former Stanhope resident. Mrs. Peterson died suddenly Saturday evening at 4 o'clock at her home in Ames. She had just returned home a few days before from the Ames hospital where she had been a patient since Memorial day.

Services were held at the Peterson home, 238 North Hyland in Ames at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a service at the Stanhope church of Christ starting at 3 o'clock, burial being in the Lawn Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson was the former Delia Hamilton and was born and raised in Stanhope, having been graduated from the Stanhope high school.

Surviving are her husband, two brothers, Donald and Merle Hamilton, both of Boone, one sister, Mrs. Forest Grovier, of Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews.
