Ruth M. Linn, 89, died November 26, 1999 at the Rae Ann Center, Cleveland, Ohio.

Ruth was born in Republic, IA, educated at the old Iowa State Teachers College, taught physical education at Eureka College, Illinois, then at the College of Wooster, Wooster, Ohio and first moved to Stanhope, IA in 1942 when she married her childhood sweetheart, Steven R. Linn who worked for the Farmers State Bank. After Steve's death in 1957, Ruth returned to Wooster, Ohio where she worked as a receptionist in a bank, then later for the College of Wooster, eventually becoming the Registrar of the College. At the age of 60 she moved to Riverside, CA where, to her great pleasure, she taught severely handicapped children until her retirement to Santa Barbara, CA. Recently she lived with her son Michael and his wife Vicki in Cleveland, OH.

Until she died Ruth always remembered her married life in Stanhope as her best time. Nothing before or after could compare.

Ruth is survived by her son, Michael S. Linn, 3156 W. 142nd St., Cleveland, OH 44111 and three grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma and Nathaniel. Her ashes will be buried at Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope in the spring.
