Stanhope Man Dies in Auto

Henry Jacobson, 74, prominent retired Stanhope clothing merchant, suffered a fatal heart attack about 10 o'clock this morning while he was driving his car south on Highway 60, 3-1/2 miles north of Stanhope.

Jacobson's car rolled off the highway, through a fence and 150 feet into a cornfield on the Oscar Olson farm before coming to a halt.

His wife [Emma Lavine Jacobson who he married October 30, 1907], and son, Wilmer, passengers in the car, were not injured.

The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home in Webster City where funeral arrangements are pending. [burial in Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope]

In addition to his wife and son, Mr. Jacobson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Ober of Stanhope.
