Mrs. Henry (Olive) Jacobson, 75, a longtime resident of the Stanhope community, died this morning at Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient the past three days. She had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Robert Karl Miller officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

Emma Olive Lavine, daughter of August and Anna Lavine, was born June 15, 1889 at Richport, Iowa. When she was three years old, she moved with her parents to Stanhope. She attended the Stanhope schools and grew to young womanhood in the Stanhope community.

She was united in marriage Oct. 30, 1907 to Henry Jacobson. The couple always resided in the Stanhope community where Mr. Jacobson for many years engaged in the clothing business.

She is survived by one son and one daughter: Wilmer Jacobson and Mrs. Clarence (Frances) Ober, both of Stanhope; four grandchildren, Mrs. Cleon (Janice) Merrill of Webster City, Leah, Steven and Jerry Ober, all of Stanhope, and one great-grandson, Brian Merrill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oct. 29, 1958 [he died in August]; one son, who died in infancy; by her parents and two sisters. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of the Christian church at Stanhope.
