Pauline Richardson, 96, of Webster City, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City with Father Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Margaret Pauline Richardson, daughter of Carl W. and Cora Yates Richardson, was born March 2, 1921 in the Pleasant Hill area of rural Webster City. She received her education at Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1939.

For 10 years Pauline was employed with State Farm Mutual Insurance as a legal secretary. She also worked as a secretary for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and the law firm of Lund and Halverson. She completed her career with employment at the Hamilton County Assessor’s office and at Richardson Auto Sales. Pauline served four years as a Board Member of the Federated Women’s Club and served on various committees. She was an avid poet having had 10 poems published in poetry journals including Lyrics Iowa, Poets International Society, Famous Poets Society, Worlds Best Loved Poems, and International Library of Congress. She held memberships in the Iowa Poetry Association and World of Poetry. She was a member of St. Thomas Church and served in the Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Fort Dodge chapter of Solos and Singles.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Francis Richardson, Helen Wehrheim, and Dorothy Bohlen and by her brothers Burt, Norman, Morris and Sterling Richardson. She is survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Pauline’s family wishes to thank Dr. Sahai, the employees of Van Diest Medical Center, and the many wonderful care givers at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation who have cared for our Aunt Pollie for many years.
