Mrs. Florence Hove, 70, widely known Stanhope resident, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday at her home in Stanhope. She had been in ill health the past five years, but her death was sudden, being attributed to a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Stanhope, preceded by a brief service at 1:15 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home. The Rev. Walter E. Carlson officiating with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

Florence Gertrude Miller, daughter of Peter and Mary Christine Miller, was born June 6, 1887 on a farm near Kamrar. She received her education in the Grand View school near Kamrar and grew to young womanhood in that vicinity. She was united in marriage Feb. 12, 1913, to Peter Hove of Stanhope. Following their marriage, they moved to a farm southeast of Stanhope where they resided for eight years. They then moved into Stanhope, the family home since. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1935, and by her parents. Since her husband's death, she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Oliver Rethman.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters; Melford Hove, Stanhope; Albert Hove, Stanhope; Mrs. Oliver (Alma) Rethman, of Ellsworth; Mrs. Lowell (Lenore) Ebersole, Santa Barbara, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Anna Larson, Strathmore Alberta, Canada; Mrs. George (Emma) McCollough, Webster City; Frank Miller, Des Moines; and Albert Miller, Portland Maine, Ore.

As a girl, she was a member of the former Christian church of Kamrar. After moving to Stanhope, she united with the Our Savior's Lutheran church.
