Funeral services for Erwin H. Hove, 73, will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1:30 p.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Neal Solomonson officiating and burial in Lawn Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Thursday until 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Mr. Hove died Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Mary Greeley where he had been a patient three days.

Erwin H. Hove, son of Ed and Hulda Erickson Hove, was born June 14, 1913 at Stanhope and was educated there.

He married Peggy O'Neal on Dec. 23, 1944 at Des Moines. Mr. Hove served with the Air Force in World War II. Following the war, he returned to Stanhope where he farmed and was a hog buyer for Hormel and Jimmy Dean Companies, buying at Stanhope and Webster City. He retired in the fall of 1985 due to ill health.

Survivors are his wife; one brother, Melvin A. of Hiawatha; one sister, Myrtle Green of West Des Moines; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Mr. Hove was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, the American Legion and Modern Woodmen of America.
