Grace V. Hall, 69, of Story City, died Monday [May 1, 2000] of cancer at her home. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City, with the Rev. Stephen Anenson officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery near Stanhope.

Grace V. Hall was born May 11, 1930, in Wadena, Minn., the daughter of Carl R. and Alice J. (Langseth) Jacobson. She lived in Story City since 1976 and before that in Stanhope from 1963 to 1976. She married Enoch Hall on Sept. 9, 1949, in Audobon, Minn. She was a homemaker and was housekeeping supervisor at Bethany Manor in Story City for 10 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was a member of ILCW. She was a volunteer at Bethany Manor and the Story City Senior Center RSVP.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Nathan Hall of Watertown, S.D., and Daniel Hall of Santee, Calif.; two daughters, Miriam Ubben of Pleasant Hill and Naomi Oliver of Ellsworth; 11 grandchildren; her father, Carl Jacobson of Lake Park, Minn.; two brothers, LaVerne Jacobson of Audobon, Minn., and Donald Jacobson of Madison, Wis., and one sister, Janice Hillesland of Wadena, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Visitation is after 3 p.m. Wednesday with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
