Florence B. Byers, 82, Stratford, a former Stanhope resident, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at the Stratford Care Center, Stratford, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Stanhope with Pastor Lloyd Ginn officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. Friday till time of services at the church in Stanhope.

Florence Beatrice Granville, daughter of Hilman and Teresa Nibe Granville, was born August 14, 1916 at Stanhope, Iowa. She graduated from Stanhope High and attended nursing training at Des Moines.

She was employed at the Foster Creamery in Webster City for many years, and was active in sales of Fuller Brush and Avon in the Webster City and Stanhope areas until her retirement in the late 70's. She resided at the Stratford Care Center for the past two and one half years. She had been a full time resident of Stanhope since the early 1950's.

She is survived by one son Clark and a daughter-in-law Jane Byers of Des Moines, one granddaughter, Karla McMaines and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Kelsey, one brother, Orelin Granville of Des Moines, and one sister, Ruby Keese of Boone. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Herb, Marlan and Floyd Granville.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Stanhope.
