Susie Welty, 84, longtime Webster City resident, died at 4:15 p.m. Thursday at the Heritage Home in Clarion. She had resided there since July 15.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church with Father Joseph Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery at Williams. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Foster Funeral home.

Susan A. Welty, daughter of Howard and Margaret [McDermott] Welty, was born Feb. 22, 1891 on a farm near Zwingle, Iowa in Jackson county. When she was five years of age, she moved with her parents to a farm near Blairsburg and she was reared and educated in the Blairsburg community.

Since 1929 she had resided in Webster City.

She is survived by one brother, Howard Welty, Onamia, Minn.; six nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church in Webster City.
