WILLIAMS - Raymond V. Weatherman, 84, longtime resident of Williams, died Wednesday, April 9 at Crestview Manor in Webster City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams with burial in the church cemetery.

A scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 11 at Surls Funeral Home in Williams where friends may call after 1 p.m.

Raymond V. Weatherman, was born April 11, 1901, at Walnut Shade, Mo., the son of A.L. and Emmey Alms Weatherman. He attended Walnut Shade rural schools. He moved to Iowa in 1920. On May 25, 1955, he married Vylice Wood in Williams. He owned and operated a farm tiling business for many years, retiring in 1977.

He is survived by his wife; one step-son, Daryl Minard of LaPorte City; a step-daughter, Leona Snider of Hastings, Minn.; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one brother, Lester of Kansas City; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a step-son, John Minard, three sisters, Cora, Edna and Berdie, five brothers, William, Claude, Otis, Jim and Clarence.
