Mary A. Vulgamott, 72, Williams, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2000 at Crestview Manor in Webster City. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams with Rev. John Flaherty officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Williams. Visitation will be at the church from 3-8 p.m. Friday. A scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the church.

Mary Arlene Doyle, daughter of George and Mary Handfelt Doyle, was born Dec. 13, 1927 in Williams. She graduated from Williams High School and Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls. She married Harold Van Vulgamott on Sept. 3, 1951 at Williams. She was a homemaker and was a member of the St. Mary's Guild and the St. Mary's Church in Williams.

Survivors are three sons, Paul Vulgamott, Cliff Vulgamott, both of Williams, and John Vulgamott of Webster City; one brother, Eugene "Dewey" Doyle of Williams, and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, one son, Lee, her parents and one sister, Margaret Bryan.
