Miss Margaret Fox, 81, a lifelong resident of the Williams community, died Tuesday evening at her home in Williams. She had been in ill health for several years.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Williams with Rev. F.J. McEnany officiating and with burial in St. Mary's cemetery. Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral home.

Margaret Fox, daughter of William and Emma Knuths Fox, was born Jan. 6, 1885 on a farm three miles north of Williams. She received her elementary schooling in the rural schools near Williams and completed her education at St. John's parochial school at Independence, Iowa.

She taught in the rural schools for several years. Her father preceded her in death in 1912, and in 1913 she moved with her family to her present home in Williams.

She is survived by two sisters and one brother: Miss Ruby Fox of Williams, Miss Blanche Fox, Seattle, Wash., and Richard Fox, Eagle Grove.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jessica.

Miss Fox was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and was a faithful member of the Rosary Society.
