Daily Freeman Journal, Webster City, Iowa, Thursday, September 30, 1965

WILLIAMS - Maurice Butler, 47, son of Mrs. Merle Doyle of Williams, died at Peoria, Ill., Wednesday evening following a short illness.

Funeral services are pending. The body will lie in state at the Scott Funeral chapel.

Mr. Butler grew to young manhood in the Williams community and attended the Williams schools.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Butler.

He is survived by his mother; one brother, Bernard Butler of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one sister, Mrs. Earl Jaynes of Williams; two half-brothers, Jerry Doyle of Grand Rapids, and Robert Doyle of Webster City, and one half sister, Mrs. Jerry Junewick of Grand Rapids.

He was a veteran of World War II and served with the U.S. Navy.

He had been employed at Peoria for the past year and a half.
