Olive Ann Dodd passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Van Diest Medical Center in Webster City. Graveside services will be held on May 21, 2017 at Collins Evergreen Cemetery.

Olive was born May 21, 1917 in the Mingo area to George and Mary Thompson, who had emigrated from England. She graduated from high school in Mingo. She married Laurence Woodrow Dodd in Des Moines on December 24, 1937 and made her home in the Collins, Iowa area until she moved to assisted living in Webster City.

Olive was a member of the Collins Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Jim Dodd of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Jane Klaver of Webster City; three grandsons, Jim Dodd of Grimes, Mike Dodd of Excelsior, MN and David Klaver of Ankeny and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son-in-law, Del Klaver; and all her siblings, Violet, Hannah, Bill, Lavinia and Maude.
