Harold Leon Hoversten, 63, Williams, died April 14, 1993 at his home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City with the Revs. John Grebner and Roy Miltner officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in rural Williams. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Thursday at Foster Funeral Home until 8 a.m. Friday when the casket will be taken to the church. The family will be present from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Harold Leon Hoversten, son of Williard and Mildred (Wilson) Hoversten, was born July 29, 1929 on a farm near Williams. He attended Williams High School.
On Aug. 12, 1951, he married Bonnie Lee Singer in Webster City. The couple farmed near Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters, Lyn Hafner of Iowa City, Jan Greenfield of Blairsburg, Amy Leiserowitz of West Des Moines, Rosemary Weeks of Indianola, Elaine Hoversten of Winterset; son, John, of Blairsburg; 17 grandchildren; mother, Mildred of Williams; brothers, Russell and Earl, both of Webster City, Lyle of Williams and Larry of Eagen, Minn.; sisters, Phyllis Bahrenfuss, Fern Lowghrey and Carol Keane, all of Webster City, and Fay Nicholson of Williams. He was preceded in death by daughter, Ann Paulette Hoversten Caudle; and his father.
He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City.
