Doris Merrill, 89, of Webster City, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Clarion Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Mike Kroona officiating.

Doris Lavon Heng, the daughter of Julius and Josephine Amundson Heng was born on May 12, 1926 in Radcliffe. She graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended beauty school. She married George Merrill on September 26, 1948 in Clear Lake. The couple farmed near Duncombe and moved to Webster City in 1964.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Pat Merrill of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, daughters, Nancy Merrill and Sue Danielson; sister, Arlie Gabrielson.

Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Church Circle and an avid reader. Doris and George enjoyed traveling all parts of the world.
