Marie Biernatzki, 79, a former Webster City resident, died Sunday, Oct 29, at the Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City, Rev. Carl A. Ries officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral home in Webster City will be from 3 p.m. Thursday until 10 a.m. Friday.

Marie Biernatzki, daughter of Charles and Barbara Schropfer Biernatzki, was born April 25, 1910, in Webster City, where she was educated. She graduated from Webster City High School, and from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College in St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., in 1933. She was an accomplished pianist and vocalist, and lived in New York for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Joseph.
