Donald Benhard Herman Massow, 93 of Iowa Falls, and formerly of Alden, died Dec. 21, 2015 at Heritage Care Center, Iowa Falls. Services are 10:30 am Dec. 29, 2015 at the Alden United Methodist Church, Alden.The Linn's Funeral Home in Iowa Falls and Alden is in charge of arrangements.

From the family of Donald Massow: Due to the inclement weather that is coming, and our concerns for your safety and travels, we have decided to cancel the upcoming service for Donald Massow. We have come to this decision with deep regret, but feel that your safety and ours, is of our up-most concern. A service will be re-scheduled at a later date and will be sent out again so that you may honor his life with us at that time.

Donald Benhard Herman Massow, 93 of Iowa Falls, and formerly of Alden, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Heritage Care Center of Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Alden United Methodist Church, 1512 Hardin Street, Alden, Iowa 50006. Burial will be at the Northlawn Cemetery in Iowa Falls. The Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls and Alden is helping the family with arrangements.

Donald Benhard Herman Massow was born February 20, 1922 in Eldora, Iowa to Charlie and Frieda [Stienfeldt] Massow. He attended school in the Buckeye Schools. On December 20, 1950 he was united in marriage to Laureen L. Kielsmeier in Hubbard, Iowa. During his life he was a farmer, and then co-owner of Massow Hardware in Alden, Iowa. He was a member of the Alden Fire Department and the American Legion Posts in both Alden and Iowa Falls. He served in the United States Army from November 1944 until November 1946.

Donald Benhard Herman Massow is survived by his wife: Laureen L. Massow of Parkersburg, Iowa; a daughter: Sandra kay [John] Wilmer also of Parkersburg; his sister: Shirley Carolus of Radcliffe; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Frieda Massow; 3 brother-in-laws: Marlyn Kielsmeier, Everett Kielsmeier, and Vern Carolus and a sister-in-laws: Verna Kielsmeier and Maxine Kielsmeier.
