Viola Cook, age 97 of Iowa Falls died on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with visitation 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Viola Cook, age 97 of Iowa Falls died on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday December 16, 2015 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with visitation 5-7 PM Tuesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Viola Margaret Hundahl Cook was born on December 27, 1917 in Walnut, Iowa, the daughter of Chris and Marie (Anderson) Andersen. She was united in marriage to Emil Hundahl on October 19, 1935 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Together they farmed in Popejoy, Dows and Williams and then retired to Iowa Falls. He passed away in 1979. Viola then married Donald Cook in 1982 who later passed away in 2001. She had been a homemaker.

Viola is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Keith) Hieber of Moorhead; a son, Dean (Corinne) Hundahl of Iowa Falls; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Josephine Johnson of Iowa Falls and Virginia Hurd of Popejoy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Emil and Donald; a son, James Hundahl; three brothers, Grant, Bud and Dick Andersen; a sister, Dorothy Blomberg; and a grandson, Nathan Hieber.
