Flossie Mae Rude a long time Ellsworth, IA resident died June 25, 2013 in OH. She had resided at the Liberty Assisted Living in Chardon, OH. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2013 at Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth. Visitation is Friday, July 19, 2013 at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell from 4 to 8 p.m. Donations suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve 17876 St. Clair Ave. Cleveland, OH 44110.

Flossie was born November 30, 1927 in Peculiar, MO to Lee and Nellie (Sevy) Allen. She spent most of her life in Ellsworth, IA on the farm with her husband Ray, raising their seven children. She moved to Chesterland, OH with her daughter in 2007 and later to Chardon, OH as a resident of the Liberty.

She enjoyed traveling to TX each winter and living on their farm; her greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and Rudy her dog. Some of her favorite activities included: Bingo, Kings Corner with friends and sending care packages to her family.

She is survived by her sons Thaddeus (Jan) of Asheville, NC and Allen (Kay) of Key West, FL; daughters Mary (Hot Rod) Kain of Prairie City, IA, Patricia (Jay) Daly of Ankeny, IA, Theresa (Dan) Liebold of Ames, IA and Michele (Jim) Rude-Caputo of Chesterland, OH; twelve grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Flossie was preceded in death by her parents; husband T. Ray Rude, Jr; daughter Ruth Ann Rude; granddaughter Kelly Rae Rude; brother Bill and longtime friend Darrell "Redd" Adams.
