Elsie Patterson, 88, Webster City, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000 at the Hamilton Hospital in Webster City. Memorial services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery at 1 p.m. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until 12:45 p.m. Friday.

Elsie Mae Ringer, daughter of Monroe and Effie Williams Ringer, was born June 10, 1912 at Newman, Ill. In her youth, she moved with her parents to Webster City. She received her education in Webster City schools, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1932. She was employed as a receptionist/medical assistant in the office of Dr. Roy A. Patterson. On Dec. 26, 1950, she married Dr. Patterson at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. Her medical responsibilities grew to medical administrator for the practice. The couple wintered in Sun City, Ariz. Dr. Patterson died on January 20, 1993. She continued to reside in Webster City.

Survivors are several nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law, Betty Ringer, Webster City.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Hermoine Prang, and a brother, George Ringer.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Webster City Country Club.
