Funeral services for Dorothea (Mrs. Elston) Lubbers, 71, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home with Elder Don Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Lubbers died Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Hamilton County Hospital.

Dorothea Gwendolyn Fowler, daughter of Guy and Ina Rhyan Fowler, was born March 31, 1915 at Blairsburg. She was educated there and moved with her family at age 13 to Webster City where she graduated from high school.

On Oct. 14, 1934, she married Elston Lubbers. The couple resided in Webster City and she worked as a piano and organ teacher until the time of her death.

Survivors are her husband; two sons Gary of Lemorre, Calif., James of Tucson, Arz., one daughter, Marcia (Mrs. Leo) Powgnas of Webster City; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene (Mrs. Harold) Cackler of Independence, Belva (Mrs. James) Van Fleet of Palm Bay, Fla.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister.

Mrs. Lubbers was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was also a past president of the Webster City Women's Club and Al-Anon.
