A. Jean Wahman, 85, of Kamrar, Iowa passed away at her home on Thursday, October, 22, 2015.

She was born on September 9, 1930, in Adel, Iowa the daughter of LaVerne and Ethel (Hutchins) Stayner.

Jean graduated from North High School in Des Moines, Iowa.

On July 2, 1950, she married Wendall Scott Loughry in Des Moines, Iowa. On November 12, 1976 she married Duane Wahman at the United Methodist Church in Kamrar, Iowa.

As a young adult, Jean was employed as a clerk in a department store in Des Moines. For a number of years, she owned and operated the Lean-To-Cafe and Bar in Kamrar and later worked for the Farm Journal in Webster City before retiring.

Jean was a member of the Kamrar United Methodist Church.

Her parents; husband Duane in July of 1995; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; her only Sister Barbara Reighard; and a nephew, Chuck Reighard preceded her in death.

Survivors include 3 daughters; Terry Anderson and husband Jim of Webster City, Sue Fox and husband Ron of Stanhope, Iowa, and Laura Parrish of Webster City; grandchildren James Anderson III, Cory Anderson and wife Angie, Sarah Richardson and husband Adam, Jennifer Enzian, Melissa Barnes and husband Luke, Heather Dekker and husband Warren, Mark Loughry, David Wagner, and Nikita Wagner; 7 great-grandsons; and 4 great-granddaughters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning, October 28th at 10:00 a.m. at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with Pastor Michael Slininger officiating.

Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery north of Stratford, Iowa.

Visitations will be at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present during that time to greet friends. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday morning prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In memory of Jean, memorials may be directed to the family to be distributed at a later date.
