An October 3 grave side service was held at Graceland Cemetery for Linda Rae Johnson, age 68. Linda died at her home in Stamford, Connecticut on August 17, 2015. A memorial service was held at the First United Methodist Church in Stamford on September 26.

Linda was born May 4, 1947, the daughter of Robert A. and E. Frances (McConnell) Johnson. She attended Webster City schools, graduating with the class of 1965, and furthered her education at Morningside College and the University of Northern Iowa. During most of her career, she was employed in the transportation (trafficking) business.

Survivors include her brother, David Johnson and his wife, Rose Ann of Macon, Missouri. She was the aunt of Thad and Marc Johnson (Johanna) of Columbia, Missouri and Ann Blodgett (Shawn) of Surf City, North Carolina as well as three great-nephews and two great-nieces. Cousins in the Webster City area include Cathy Austin and Brian Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, uncles and an aunt.
