Arlene L. Martin, 86, of Webster City, died Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Southfield Wellness Community. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Reverend Mike Kroona officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Arlene LaVonne Anderson, daughter of Alfred and Bertha Jacobson Anderson, was born June 19, 1929 on a farm near Duncombe. Arlene graduated from Lincoln High School in Webster City in 1945. She married Marion G. Martin at the Little Brown Church in Nashua on September 25, 1946. Marion and Arlene farmed, showed quarter horses and raised cattle at their farm southwest of Webster City where she had lived since the age of three. Marion preceded her in death on February 10, 2014. Arlene resided at Windsor Manor after Marion's death until moving to Southfield Wellness Community in the spring of 2015.

She is survived by children, Sandra (Patrick) Chambers of Webster City, Larry (Holly) Martin of Webster City, Gayle Martin of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Troy (Rhonda) Martin of Webster City; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, grandson, Dakota Martin Faso; brothers, Roger and Paul Anderson; sister, Hertha Ostbloom.

Arlene was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she served on the Naomi Circle. She was a former member of the Webster City Elks Club and the Moose Family Center, the Cowbell Cattlemen's Association, Iowa Quarter Horse Association, Hamilton County Saddle Club and was a past 4-H Leader.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hope Lodge of Rochester, MN or the WC Ministerial Association for the Webster City Schools Backpack program.
