Evelyn Louise (Sandal) Pierce passed away on September 20, 2015 in Escondido, California.

Evelyn was born in Stanhope, Iowa to Martin and Alice Sandal on June 11, 1919. She graduated from Stanhope High School and was a member of and worked with 4-H clubs for eighteen years. Evelyn worked at Edsel's Studio for several years in Webster City. She was also a transcriptionist for Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa and San Diego, California. Evelyn married Merrill Pierce of Webster City in Stanhope, Iowa.

Evelyn is survived by her children: Karen (Gary) Walcher of El Cajon, California and son Charles (Ramona) Pierce of St. Ansgar, Iowa, five grandchildren: Cynthia (Brian) Hoeg, Deanne (Mark) Johnson, Tom (fiancee Julie) Pierce, Jeffery (Becky) Walcher and Shannon (Mike) Shilling and brother-in-law Bob Sealine. Also nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceeding her in death is her husband Merrill Pierce and siblings: Helen (Mike) Reed, Chuck (Helen) Sandal, Marjorie (Bob) Sealine, Everett (Evy) Sandal and Lt. Merle Sandal.

A graveside service will be at Lawn Hill Cemetary at Stanhope, Iowa on October 24 at 10:30 a.m. Lunch and coffee will follow the service at Webster City Maidrite Restaurant.
