Wendell Caruth, 84, of Webster City died Friday, September 25, 2015 at Unity Point Health in Fort Dodge. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Graceland Cemetery in Webster City with Pastor Michael Slininger, officiating. In case of inclement weather, services will be held at Faith United Methodist Church.

Wendell Lowell Caruth, son of Leonard and Evelyn Coons Caruth, was born May 5, 1931 on the farm south of Blairsburg. He received his education in the Ellsworth school system. Wendell married Deloris Richey on August 24, 1952 in Webster City. The couple had resided in Webster City for 37 years before short stays in Stanhope and Fort Dodge. The couple had been residing at Windsor Manor. Wendell worked for the Iowa DOT for 22 years before his retirement.

Wendell is survived by his wife Dee of Webster City; son, Matt Caruth of Webster City; granddaughters, Jenni Caruth of Cedar Falls, Abbi Caruth of Fort Dodge; great-granddaughter, Olyvia Caruth of Fort Dodge; sisters, Donna (Roger) Kezar of Bradenton, FL; Rosalee Ballantine of Story City; brother, Gary (Barb) Caruth of Webster City; sisters-in-law, Doris Caruth of Stratford, Barb Caruth of Boone; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne, LaVerne, Lyle and Eddie Caruth; infant brother, Robert Caruth; sister, Jeannie Hovick; and infant sister, Hazel Caruth.

Wendell enjoyed camping in Clear Lake and traveling with his wife.
