Edmund Renaud, 87, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Sunday August 9th, 2015 at Heritage Care Center in Iowa Falls. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Iowa Falls with burial in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Born to Paul H. and Lydia (Van Der Pol) Renaud in Taintor, Iowa. The Lord took him home August 9, 2015 at the Heritage Care Center with his family by his side. Ed was educated at Fleming and Lundt Schools near Taintor, Iowa. Ed was married December 4, 1951 to Miriam E. Campbell in Alden, Iowa beginning their marriage in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ed served as a Corporal in the United States Army from October, 1950 until October, 1952 and then transferred to the Army Reserve until April, 1957. After his discharge from the Korean Conflict, where he served in the medical division at Fort Carson, Colorado, they moved back to Pella, Iowa. In the spring of 1954 they moved to the farmstead near Alden, Iowa w here they resided for 35 years, raising 9 children with many cherished memories. They retired to Iowa Falls in 1989 where the happy memories continued including traveling around the world together. Ed accepted Christ as his Saviour at an early age and was in happy fellowship at Ellis Avenue Meeting Room.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Miriam and his children; Stephen and Susan Renaud, Iowa Falls, Sidney and Carol Renaud, Huxley, Sterling and Lisa Renaud, Iowa Falls, Suzanne and David Rule, Dublin, OH, Sheldon and Denise Renaud, Iowa Falls, Stanton and Kim Renaud, Radcliffe, Iowa, Tricia and Brian Dutcher, West Des Moines, Tyler Renaud, Iowa Falls, Scott and Lisa Renaud, Alden, Iowa, 28 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers; Gerrit and Jane Renaud, Monroe, Mark and Patricia Renaud, Palm Springs, CA, Leo and Marguerite Renaud of Des Moines, 2 sisters; Lydia Roossinck of Fremont, MI, and Mary and John Verratti of Gasport, NY.

Proceeding him in death were his parents, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
