DeWayne Frank Widick, 85, passed away Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Crestview Apartments in Webster City. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 17, 2015 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Nathan Peitsch officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh, IA. The visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

DeWayne F. Widick, son of Cecil and Ilene (Pratt) Widick was born in 1929 in rural Lehigh. He attended rural Evanston and Stanhope Schools. On October 18, 1947 he was united in marriage to Virval Lee of Lehigh at the Nazarene Parsonage in Webster City. He farmed for many years in the Lehigh and Webster City area. He worked for Rasch Construction for over 25 years primarily as a crane operator. After retirement he operated a crane for Woodruff Construction for several years. He also sold Garst Seed for 15 years and was an honorary member of Cockshutt Tractors. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and camping with many trips to Minnesota and Arkansas. He and Virval hosted the family reunion campout weekends for 20 years.

DeWayne is survived by his wife Virval; children Denver (Georgia) Widick of Badger, Bette J. Widick of Fort Dodge, Tina (Dale) Carlberg of Stratford and David (Patty) Widick of Jewell; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and his sister Alveda (Jerry) Kent of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Minnie Seiser and Clinton and Bob Widick and granddaughter Jennifer Kloss.
