Webster City Freeman, Tuesday, September 5, 1916

One of the saddest funerals ever held in the vicinity of Kamrar was Friday afternoon when Mrs. Dick Gray laid to rest her husband and only baby in the cemetery in the German Presbyterian churchyard, east of that village. Dick Gray passed away Wednesday morning and on Friday morning the baby, Dorothy [headstone reads Dortha] about five months old, died of convulsions. The child had not before been ill. The father and daughter were buried in the same coffin. Mrs. Gray was formerly Miss Bina Klaver, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Klaver, of Kamrar.
