Stores Close for Funeral

A very fitting respect was paid to the memory of the late Harman H. Busing Tuesday, when every place of business in Kamrar closed doors to attend the funeral of this highly respected and much honored pioneer. His death occurred Saturday as the result of old age. For the past three weeks his condition has not been favorable, though the end came peacefully and quietly.

Mr. Busing came to this county in the year 1863, and until ten years ago resided on the fine farm south of this city six miles, which still remains in the family name. He was a man of industry, the highest integrity, and his name will long stand as a monument of honor to his family. Ten years ago he retired from the farm, and with his wife, who still survives, moved to Kamrar. Mr. Busing was born in Germany in the year 1837, and when but a young man came to this country, first locating in Illinois. There he resided for eight years, then coming to Hamilton county.

The family is highly respected in this community, and the sympathy of many friends go out to them in their great sorrow. The children are Mrs. T. R. Naber, Mrs. Meade Hughes, Mrs. Bertha Closz and H. R. and E. D. Busing all residing on farms in the community of Kamrar.

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon from the German Presbyterian church near Kamrar, and the remains laid to rest in the Presbyterian cemetery.
