Charles "Chuck" Schroder, 74, of Blairsburg, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at his home in Bonita Springs, Florida. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams with Father James McAlpin officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Charles Roger Schroder, son of Harold and Beulah Bell Schroder, was born March 21, 1941 in Blairsburg. He graduated from Blairsburg High School in 1959. He served his country in the United States Navy. He married Jane Frances Anderson on February 5, 1966 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Webster City. The couple lived in Webster City for one year before settling in Blairsburg. They farmed the family farm until Chuck's retirement in September of 2014. They wintered in Bonita Springs, Florida for 21 years.

Chuck is survived his wife, Jane of Blairsburg; sons, Mitchell Schroder of Noblesville, Indiana, Mark Schroder of West Des Moines; grandchildren; Jacqueline, Abbey, Seth and Trevor Schroder; sister, Shirley (Chuck) Harreld of Story City; and brother-in-law, Joe (Millie) Anderson of Woolstock.

He was preceded in death his parents; brother, Harold "Dick" Schroder; grandson, Robert Schroder; brothers-in-law, John "Jack" Anderson and James Anderson.

Chuck was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams, the Blairsburg Lions Club, was a member and officer of the Farm Bureau and a former member of the Webster City Elks Lodge. He enjoyed golf, softball, tennis and biking.
