Lillian G. Voy, 95, of Ackley, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at Grand JiVante, in Ackley. Funeral services for Lillian Voy will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Ackley United Methodist Church, 416 Hardin Street, Ackley, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, June 5th at the Ackley United Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery, Ackley, Iowa. Gertie Lillian Voy was born February 25, 1920, on a farm near Ackley, Iowa, in Hardin County. She was the daughter of Richard and Florence [Muller] Hartema. She graduated from the Ackley High School in 1938. She was confirmed at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Ackley, while she was in high school. She was a lifetime resident of Ackley and a member of the Ackley United Methodist Church. On May 11, 1940 she married Raymond Voy, and was a housewife and homemaker for her entire life.

She is survived by two children: Larry [Donna] Voy of Toledo, and Judy [Paul] Wiarda of Ackley, Iowa; one sister: Dorothy Hartema Knoll; five grandchildren: David and Randy Voy, Mike and Todd Wiarda and Dawn Wiarda Kraft; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Florence Hartema; husband: Raymond Voy; 2 brothers: Laurence and Ervin Hartema; 3 sisters: Amanda Wildeboer, Lauretta Schachterle, and Edna Knoll.
