The Daily Freeman JournalMargaret (Hornung) Worthen, 89, was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa. She worked at Electrolux for many years retiring in 1985 due to ill health.
She married James Worthen Sr. at the Open Bible Church in Iowa Falls in May of 1945. To this union was born 5 boys, Robert, Terry, Donald, James Jr. and Troy Worthen. She has 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She is survived by sons Terry (Cindy), James (Anna), and Tony Worthen, brother Richard Hornung, of Minnesota, and sister Lila Knosby, of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, her husband James Sr., sons Robert and Donald and 1 great-grandson Tyler Vance Worthen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 3 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Webster City. A funeral will be held Thursday, June 4 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ. Burial will be in Iowa Falls at Northlawn Cemetery.
