Funeral services for Adolph Trampel, 85, longtime Kamrar resident, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian church near Kamrar with the Rev. Marvin Cmp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Friday, when it will be taken to the church.

Adolph Trampel, son of John and Annie Grensburg Trampel, was born July 11, 1886, northeast of Kamrar. He was reared and educated in the Kamrar community.

He was united in marriage Feb. 28, 1912 to Freda Timmer, and the couple made their home on a farm northeast of Kamrar.

To this union, three sons were born, Ervin, Frank and Fred.

Mrs. Trampel preceded him in death Feb. 7, 1919 during the flu epidemic.

Following Mrs. Trampel's death, Mr. Trampel, Ervin and Frank made their home with Mr. Trampel's parents while Fred, who was four months old, went to live with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. David Nordgren.

He was united in marriage Jan. 6, 1926 to Bina Klaver Gray, and the couple made their home on a farm near Kamrar until 1956 when they retired and moved to their present home in Kamrar.

He is survived by his wife and the four sons, Ervin at home; Frank of Webster City; Fred Nordgren of Cedar Rapids; and Carl, of Kamrar. Also surviving are four grandsons, two granddaughters, one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his first wife, others preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
