Virginia Yockey, 70, Delaware, Ark., died March 17, 1996, at her home in Delaware, Ark. Private burial services will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark., on Friday.

Virginia Ruth Bell, daughter of Carl and Ruth Bell, was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Stratford. She attended Webster City High School, graduating with the class of 1943. She graduated from the University of Iowa and did her graduate work at the University of Arkansas and Arkansas Tech University.

She is survived by her husband, Charles R. "Bob" Yockey; sons, Walter, Bentonville, Ark., John, Russellville, Ark., Robert, Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Michal Hall, Spanish Fork, Utah; mother, Ruth Bell, Webster City; sister, Audrey Elliott, Webster City; brother, Richard Bell, Duncombe; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bell and brother, Robert.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Alpha Chi Omega, Town and Country Garden Club, and the Birthday Club.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Hospice Foundation or the American Cancer Society of Arkansas.
