Carl Oliver Bell, 84, a lifelong resident of the Webster City area, died Saturday at Crestview Manor.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational U.C.C. Church with Rev. Raymond Roden officiating and with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at Fosters Funeral home until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Carl Bell was born Feb. 11, 1899 in Homer, the son of John and Bessie Rehnblom Bell. He was educated in the rural schools of the Homer area. He was married on Feb. 9, 1922 to Ruth Williams at Webster City. The couple resided in Hamilton and Webster Counties for 61 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, two daughters and one son; Mrs. C.R. (Virginia) Yockey, Russellville, Ark., Mrs. Marvin (Audrey) Elliott, Webster City, and Richard of Duncombe, a brother, Harley of Stratford, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and a son, Robert, in 1940.

He was a member of the First Congregational U.C.C. Church and the Masonic Lodge.
