Cecil W. Gerber, 72, longtime Kamrar and Webster City area resident, died early this morning at his home, 1305 Elm St. He had been in ill health the past six months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. A.A. Oswald officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 10 a.m. Friday, when it will be taken to the church.

Cecil Warren Gerber, son of Fred A. and Kate Bauer Gerber, was born May 22, 1902 at Kamrar. He was reared and educated in the Kamrar schools.

He was married Nov. 27, 1904 to Leona Margaret Blue and the couple farmed in the Webster City community until they retired and moved into Webster City.

He is survived by his wife, Leona and one sister, Mrs. Caroline Scheppler of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lloyd, Marilyn (Bud) and Woodrow Gerber.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
