Marie Mourlam, 94, of Hatfield, Arkansas, a former Stanhope resident, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Mena Regional Health System at Mena, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held on April 9, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center in Webster City. Burial will follow the services at the French Cemetery in Woolstock.

Mildred Marie Munsinger, daughter of James and Lettie Scott Munsinger, was born August 8, 1920 on a farm southwest of Stanhope. She received her education in rural schools near Stanhope and graduated from Stanhope Consolidated School in 1938. She worked in restaurants in Webster City. In 1942, she moved to Galveston, Texas and was employed at Camp Wallace. On August 13, 1942, she married at Hitchcock, Texas. The couple resided in Texas and to this union two girls were born. The family returned to Stanhope in 1945, then moved to Hiawatha, KS. They returned to Stanhope in 1948. She worked for Teige Produce and Morton Frozen Foods. She returned to restaurant work at the Golden Room in Webster City. On May 2, 1960, she married George Robert Mourlam at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed in Wright County until 1983 and they retired and moved north of Woolstock. Mr. Mourlam died in 1998. Marie moved to Hatfield, Arkansas in 2008.

Marie is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Taylor of Hatfield, Ark and Frances (Tillman) Johnson of Lomita, CA; grandchildren, Aaron Johnson, Nina Taylor, James Taylor; great-grandchildren, Crystal, Justin, Destiny, Morgan, Sierra, James Jr., and Elizabeth; one great-great granddaughter, Arianna; sister; Doris (Lowell) Kilmer of Stanhope.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; brothers; Delbert, Marvin and Marion Munsinger and son-in-law, Bill Taylor.
