MRS. TATHAM, AGE 38, DIES

Services Monday for Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Teed

Mrs. Fred Tatham, 38, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Teed, of Webster City, died at the home of her parents, 1106 Des Moines street, Saturday morning after a lingering illness. She had returned to Webster City about two weeks ago from her home in Little Rock, Ark., and had been seriously ill since that time.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Foster funeral home, with the Rev. Harold W. Putney officiating. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Frances Elinor Teed was born Oct. 28, 1904, in Webster City and grew up in this community. She attended the local schools and was a graduate of the high school where she was always active in scholastic affairs.

Following her graduation, she attended the Cook county hospital school of nursing in Chicago for two years. Aug. 31, 1927, she was married to Fred Tatham in Webster City.

The young couple took up housekeeping in Mt. Clemmons, Mich., where they made their home for several years. They also lived in Texas a number of years before moving to Little Rock last April.

Mrs. Tatham is survived by her husband, her parents, one sister, Mrs. John W. Hackley, of Cherryvale, Kans., and two brothers, Wilmer Teed, in the ordnance division of the army at the Aberdeen proving grounds in Maryland, and James C. Teed, mechanic in the air corps, stationed at Greenville, Miss.

Baptized in the Congregational faith when a young girl, Mrs. Tatham was a member of the church here. She also was affiliated with the Eastern Star order. Always a friendly, gracious person, Mrs. Tatham remained cheerful during the many days of her illness. She will be greatly missed by her family and the host of friends who knew her.
