Lewis P. Haack, 68, died at 2 p.m. Saturday at his home three and one-half miles southwest of Woolstock. He had been in poor health the past year.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster funeral home and Rev. Wm. Baddley of Lake View will officiate. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery.

Lewis Paul Haack, son of William and Dorothy Pflughaupt Haack, was born Feb. 19, 1881 on a farm in Grundy county, Illinois. When he was a small boy he moved with his parents to a farm near Saunermin, Ill. He was educated and reared in that community and was united in marriage Jan. 6, 1909, to Margaret E. Wolf, daughter of William and Martha J. Wolf of Pontiac, Ill.

Mr. and Mrs. Haack farmed in Illinois until 1910, then moved to Iowa and located on a farm west of Woolstock, their home since. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Dorothy Luella, who died in 1914; also by his parents and two brothers and one sister, John, William and Mrs. John (Ida) Wolf.

He is survived by his wife and one son, Donald L. Haack of Woolstock. Also surviving are three nieces, Margaret Haack, Mrs. Jesse Landers and Mrs. Frank Russell, all of Pontiac, Ill.

When he was a young man, he was baptized in the Lutheran faith. After coming to Iowa he became a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Woolstock, being one of the stewards of the church.

A loving husband and father, Mr. Haack was a kind neighbor and had made many warm friends in the community where he had lived the past 39 years.
