MRS. A. N. BOEYE PASSES AWAY

Died at Family Home Sunday Morning, Following Stroke of Paralysis Wednesday

FUNERAL TOMORROW

Member of Congregational Church and Resident Here 47 Years

Mrs. A. N. Boeye, 943 Second street, died at her home at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the age of 68 years. While not in very good health since last spring, her last illness began only last week Wednesday when she suffered a stroke of paralysis.

The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the home, conducted by her pastor, Rev. R. S. Haney.

Mrs. Boeye, was widely known in Webster City, having made her home here for the past 47 years. She had been a member of the Congregational church for many years and also held membership in the Wednesday and Women's clubs.

Until recent years, she had been in indefatigable worker in her church. Its activities meant much to her and she took an unusual interest in its various organizations and all its functions. She was regular in her attendance and was a consistent and regular worker in most of its departments.

Her home and family and her church were dear to her. In recent years her health had prevented much church activity, and her time was given largely to her home and her family. She was especially fond of flowers and her beautiful yard is evidence of her absorbing love for them. She had been especially happy and contented the past summer. Last spring she was ill and in bed for some ten weeks, but during most of the summer had been in the enjoyment of fairly good health. She celebrated her 69th birthday, Aug. 21, at which time her son Fred of New York City, made the trip out to spend the day with her. Her two grandchildren, of Texas, sons of the late Ralph Boeye, her oldest son, had also visited her the past summer. The visits of these relatives, together with occasional Sunday picnic trips, had made an unusually happy summer for her. She, herself, had remarked on the very happy summer she had been privileged to have in the company of her loved ones and in the out-of-doors which she enjoyed so much.

Ida Adella Prince was born at Covey Hill, Quebec, Canada, Aug. 21, 1859. She moved with her parents to Clear Lake, Iowa, in 1871. She was married to Adolph N. Boeye March 10, 1881, at Clear Lake. Mr. Boeye, who was very active and prominent here, was recognized as one of the state's leading attorneys. He died 13 years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Boeye moved to Webster City the same year they were married and spent the balance of their lives here. Six children were born to them, all sons. Four survive. They are Frederick A. Boeye, of New York City; Adolph N. Jr., of Independence, Kan.; Robert W. of Hagerstown, Md., and John A. Boeye, of this city. There is also one sister, Mrs. C. H. Arthur, of Denver. There are also six grandchildren.

Mrs. Boeye was seriously ill last spring and confined to her bed for ten weeks. She was much improved in health this summer, but last Wednesday morning suffered a stroke of paralysis and soon lapsed into unconsciousness from which she never recovered and passed quietly and peacefully away Sunday morning.

A wide circle of friends knew Mrs. Boeye as a quiet, unassuming and most lovable character, whose life was wrapped up in her family, her home and her church and all these extend to the surviving children their sincere condolences in the passing of this good woman.
