Mrs. B. P. Holt, 69, of Ellsworth, died at the Hamilton county hospital in Webster City Friday morning about 12:45 o'clock, death being caused by complications following an operation which she underwent two weeks ago.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the farm home, one mile east and one-half mile north of Ellsworth, and at 2:30 in Trinity Lutheran church, the Rev. C. J. Naglestad officiating. Burial will be made in Homewood cemetery at Ellsworth with Fleenor's in charge.

Born in Oslo, Norway, May 10, 1873, Emilie Olsen came to the United States with her parents in 1880 when she was only seven years old. The family located at Callanan for about a year, moving then to the Ellsworth community where they have since made their home.

Previous to her marriage to Bardinus P. Holt, Mrs. Holt was a teacher in the schools of the neighborhood. She was the mother of three children, one of whom, Raymond, died Dec., 1928.

Besides her husband and two children, Teresa, dean of women at Concordia college, Moorhead, Minn., and Bayard, who operates the home farm, Mrs. Holt is survived by one sister, Mrs. Josephine Sanford, of Ellsworth, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Holt was always active in the affairs of the community and her church and was a member of the mission society and ladies aid of the church.
