Miss Sylvia Thompson, 79, died this morning at 6:45 at the Story City hospital where she had been a patient since last Monday.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church in Ellsworth with the Rev. Raymond Ehlers officiating with burial in Homewood cemetery at Ellsworth. The body will lie in state at the Becker funeral home in Jewell until 1 p.m.

Miss Sylvia Thompson, daughter of John and Margaret Sexe Thompson, was born Sept. 29, 1888, on a farm southeast of Ellsworth and had always resided there.

She was employed for many years at the grocery and dry-goods store in Ellsworth. She was also active in the Trinity Lutheran church and the ALCW.

Surviving are four brothers and four sisters, Mae Thompson of Ellsworth, Tom Thompson, Ellsworth, James Thompson, Austin, Mrs. A. E. (Alice) Jacobson, Thief River Falls, Minn.; Harold Thompson, Webster City; William Thompson of Clifton, Texas; Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Winters, Owatonna, Minn., and Mrs. R. R. (Margaret) Tracy, Denison, and many nieces and nephews.
