Marilyn Jane Wyllie, 67, Webster City, died Saturday, July 26, 1997 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. John Grebner officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral Home and from 1 p.m. to service time at the church on Tuesday.

Marilyn Jane Welper, daughter of Herbert and Lillian (Pottratz) Welper, was born July 8, 1930 at Caledonia, Minn. She graduated from high school in Mabel, Minn. On July 31, 1949, she married Gail Ivan Wyllie at Hesper. The couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed at Morton Frozen Foods for seven years, and Frigidaire for 31 years, retiring this year. Her husband preceded her in death in September of 1988.

She is survived by daughters, Deborah and Nancy Wyllie, both of Webster City; sons, Thomas Wyllie, Mesa, Ariz., and Terry Wyllie, Blairsburg; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Adeline Hoff, St. Paul, Minn., Lorraine Anderson, Mabel, Minn., Loulean Hoff, Rushford, Minn., Charmie Steine, Loveland, Colo., and Renee Hjerleid, Decorah; brothers, Wordean Welper, Spring Grove, Minn., and Ronnie Welper, Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Arlyne Tollefson; and a brother, Reginald Welper.

Mrs. Wyllie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
